Welcome to the Pro Equo
Pro Equo Foundation was established in spring 2006, even though I have conducted activities entered in its statute since 2005, and the idea itself had come into existance much earlier. The purchase of a farm near Moryn (North-West province of Poland) resulted in the possibility of putting into practice a number of intentions which had been unfeasible due to lack of a basis for action. In accord, there emerged better prospects for the execution of all plans that had so far been placed in a dreamworld.
The main aims of Pro Equo Foundation are, as the name itself indicates, activities conducetd for horses, although I have no intention of restricting my actions only to horses. So far, besides horses, I have directed my help towards dogs and cats. The statutory activities of the foundation also include the rehabilitation of the handicapped with the participation of animals (broadly understood hippotherapy and dogotheraphy) together with the opposition, again with their active participation, to any kind of social exclusion.
I am aware that ‘not all of them can be saved’. It is impossible to help each and every animal, however, it does not mean that the activities directed to help are worthless. Moreover, the impossibility does not justify being indifferent to cruelty, or callous to suffering of the defenceless beings, which are totally dependent on us. Also, it does not excuse the argumentation of their being ‘only animals’. I do believe that you are able to help me help them, both by supporting the activities of Pro Equo Foundation financially, and by information campaigns organised in your environment.
